15 Reasons Georgia Goes 15-0

I’m a typical Georgia fan with unreasonable expectations.  I know this but I have to dream big, right?  College football kicks off tonight when Texas A&M rolls into Columbia, South Carolina and I could not be happier as gametime draws closer.  We are in game week mode, and I have watched every UGA game from last season on my DVR so I know all the reasons why Georgia underachieved last season.  I have the answers or the 15 reasons why Georgia goes undefeated in 2014 and wins the national championship.

1) Jeremy Pruitt rids UGA with its defensive cancers.  There are high expectations that Pruitt can waive his magical FSU defensive wand. Georgia has one of the best linebacker cores in the SEC.  Wilson, Herrera, Jenkins, and Floyd create nightmares for SEC offensive coordinators.

2) This is Mike Bobo’s last season at Georgia.  He wants to go out a winner as an offensive coordinator and will be a highly sought after head coach for a major college program.

3) Georgia is 26-7-1 versus Clemson at home. Georgia avenges last year loss and rolls with a 38-13 victory.

4) Georgia 17-8-2 versus South Carolina at Williams Brice Stadium.  This is the key game for the Dawgs as they have lost the last two games in Columbia.  USC is riding an 18 game home winning streak, the longest in the NCAA.  Georgia edges USC with a Marshall Morgan field goal being the difference. 27-24.

5) As much Todd Gurley as you can stand.  Give the ball to #3 early, often, and watch him run. TG3 will be the difference for the Dawgs.

6)  Tennessee arrives in Athens on a short bus.  Short on experience and riding a four game losing streak to the Dawgs.  Georgia runs Tennessee out of the stadium.  48-7.  Georgia escapes with no injuries in this one.

7) I still believe Missouri is the team to beat in the SEC East and why wouldn’t they be despite their losses on defense.  Mock is one of the better returning QB’s but Georgia goes 2-0 in Columbia with more grown man football.  The defense steps up and wins this one with a defensive touchdown.  30-10.

8) Georgia continues its winning streak versus Florida and rolls to its fourth victory in a row against the Gators.  Muschamp loses his job and Georgia squeezes out a 21-17 victory.

9) It’s Georgia’s turn to defeat Auburn with some lady luck.  Despite playing 3 out of the last 4 games at the Plains thanks to the SEC scheduling.  Georgia defeats Auburn in a shootout 41-37.

10) Georgia Tech is Georgia Tech.  The Dawgs have owned the Jackets lately but that high school offense still gives defensive coordinators fits.  Jeremy Pruitt has no experience against the Tech offense, so he’ll struggle as he dusts off his high school playbooks.  gurley and masonThis could be Georgia’s let down game and will start out slow against Jackets but roll late with a 52-30 victory.

11) Georgia meets Alabama in the SEC championship game and avenges its 2012 loss in the championship game.  This game looks like a 28-20 victory for the Dawgs.

12) Hutson Mason will be the next DJ Shockley.  Karma is due.  He sets some single season records for QB’s at UGA.

13) Mark Richt sheds his good guy persona and leads Georgia to the National Championship.  Coach Richt actually does something out of character and fires up the Georgia base.

14) Georgia meets FSU in the first game of the new National Championship Playoff Game.  Georgia is just too much for FSU and defeats them 34-27.

15) Georgia meets Wisconsin for the National Championship game.  Georgia is 2-0 lifetime against Wisconsin. Make it 3-0 as Big Ten football is not Big Time football.

Go Dawgs!
